Terms of service

No legal entity has been registered yet. These terms are not enforceable against anyone until the operator supplies the entity name, address and jurisdiction. This document describes the service as it currently operates, without pretending a legal entity exists.

1. The service

Iconreport is a diagnostic tool. It checks which icons a given web page declares and whether those icons are actually served, for one URL at a time. It does not generate images, give design opinions, or monitor sites over time.

2. Use of the service

You may submit any URL you have the right to request. The service is provided without accounts and without registration.

Do not use the service to probe systems you are not authorized to probe.
Do not use the service to harass, attack, or scan targets in a manner that violates the law or the target's terms.
Do not attempt to use the service to reach private or internal network ranges; the service rejects private, loopback, and link-local addresses.

3. Results

Results reflect what a single request observed at a single moment. Sites change; networks fail; some hosts are not reachable from this service at all. Results are provided "as is" and are not a guarantee about any site's configuration.

4. Billing (not yet active)

No payment system is connected. The billing terms below describe the planned API Access subscription. They will become enforceable only after a payment processor is connected and the subscription is made available for purchase. Until then, any checkout flow on this site is strictly a demo — no payment is taken and no subscription is created.

4.1 What you buy

An API Access subscription grants programmatic access to Iconreport's checker for integration into CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and automation workflows. The subscription includes an API key, higher rate limits than the free tier, and webhook notifications.

4.2 Price and billing period

The API Access subscription is $9 USD per month, billed automatically each month on the anniversary of the subscription start date. All prices are exclusive of any applicable taxes, which will be added where required by law.

4.3 Failed payments

If a monthly payment fails (card declined, expired, insufficient funds, or processor error), the subscription enters a grace period of 7 days. During this period:

The subscription remains active and the API key continues to work.
The payment method is retried automatically on days 3 and 6 of the grace period.
If all retries fail after 7 days, the API key is revoked and the subscription is cancelled. Data and usage history are not retained.

4.4 Refund policy

If we fail to deliver the subscribed service due to a platform error on our side (not a network condition or a limitation of the checker), a full refund for the affected month will be issued on request. Other than defects caused by us, all sales are final: because the subscription is prepaid per month and the service is immediately usable upon payment, no partial-month refunds are given if you cancel mid-cycle.

4.5 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Access continues until the end of the current billing period; you will not be charged again. No refund is given for the remainder of a period after cancellation.

4.6 Price changes

If the subscription price changes, you will be notified at least 30 days before the change takes effect on your account. If you do not agree to the new price, you may cancel before the change date.

5. No data storage

This service keeps no accounts and stores no data. It sends no email.

6. Intellectual property

The iconreport mark and page content belong to the operator. Nothing in these terms transfers a license to any third party.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranty of any kind. The operator is not liable for any damages arising from use of the service.

8. Changes

These terms may be updated. When a legal entity is registered, this page will be updated to name it and to state the governing law and contact address.

9. Contact

There is no mailbox on this domain yet. Until the operator registers a legal entity and provides a contact address, there is no formal channel for legal notices.
